FAQ
Infrared Yoga & Heated Studio Experience
What is infrared yoga and how does it work?
Infrared yoga uses advanced heating panels that warm the body from within, rather than heating the surrounding air. This creates a more comfortable, evenly distributed warmth that supports movement, flexibility, and a more connected yoga experience.
How is infrared yoga different from traditional heated yoga classes?
Traditional heated yoga raises the temperature of the room, which can feel dense, humid, and at times overwhelming. Infrared heat takes a more refined approach, gently warming the body rather than the air. This creates a cleaner, more breathable environment where you can experience the benefits of heat without the heavy or overly damp feeling often associated with traditional heated classes.
What are the benefits of infrared yoga and heated movement?
Infrared heat supports the body in a more efficient and natural way than traditional heated environments. Many clients notice improved mobility, reduced stiffness, and a greater sense of ease during and after class.
Research on infrared technology also suggests a range of supportive benefits, including:
Joint Comfort & Mobility – Infrared heat has been shown to help reduce stiffness and support joint comfort, particularly in individuals experiencing chronic tension or limited range of motion.
Circulation & Cardiovascular Support – Infrared exposure promotes circulation by supporting blood vessel dilation, helping deliver oxygen and nutrients more efficiently throughout the body.
Skin Health & Recovery – Infrared light has been associated with supporting collagen production and the body’s natural repair processes.
Cellular Energy & Recovery – Certain wavelengths of infrared light interact with cells to support energy production, which plays a role in tissue repair and overall recovery.
Metabolic Function – Emerging research suggests infrared heat may support metabolic processes, including how the body utilizes energy.
While individual experiences may vary, infrared heat is widely used as a supportive tool for movement, recovery, and overall well-being.
How hot does your heated yoga studio get?
Temperature varies throughout the room to give you flexibility:
Front rows: approximately 90–95°F
Back rows: approximately 80–85°F
You can choose the level of warmth that feels best for your body.
